United Wardrobe Project.
The United Wardrobe Project is a student-led initiative dedicated to creating a sustainable future by tackling the environmental challenges of fast fashion.
Born from the simple idea of giving pre-loved clothes a second life, this project has grown into a movement that inspires schools and communities to take action against textile waste.
We have installed clothing donation bins in schools, enabling students, parents, and staff to donate unwanted clothing with ease. To date, we have collected over 11,000 items, saving approximately 120,000 kg of CO₂ and conserving 45 million liters of water. These efforts not only reduce waste but also provide much-needed clothing to communities in need, creating a positive social and environmental impact.
In recognition of its impact, the United Wardrobe Project was selected as one of the Global Top 3 Good Practices
in fashion and textiles by UNEP, UN-Habitat during the International Day of Zero Waste 2025, led by the UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Zero Waste.
The project’s success has sparked a ripple effect with schools in Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and India joining or expressing interest in being part of this impactful movement. Together, we are building a culture of sustainability, demonstrating that small, consistent actions can lead to significant change.
At the United Wardrobe Project, we believe that everyone has the power to make a difference.
Join us as we continue to expand this initiative and work toward a world where sustainability is a shared habit.
Let’s turn good intentions into action, one piece of clothing at a time.
